People Dashboard

Understand your customer sources, data overlap, and key metrics across all connected integrations

People Dashboard

The People dashboard gives you a unified view of everyone in your customer database. It shows how many people you have, where they come from, and how your data sources overlap.

Accessing the Dashboard

  1. Click People in the sidebar.
  2. The dashboard loads with your total people count, source breakdown, and customer metrics.

All People Card

At the top of the page, you see your All People count. This is the total number of unique individuals across all your connected data sources.

Below the count, source combination badges show how your customers are distributed. For example, you might see:

  • Shopify only -- Customers who exist only in your Shopify store
  • Klaviyo only -- Subscribers who exist only in your Klaviyo account
  • Shopify + Klaviyo -- People who appear in both systems

Each badge displays the source icons and the customer count for that combination. Hover over any badge to see the full label and exact count.

Connect multiple data sources to see the full picture. The People dashboard highlights overlap between sources, helping you understand how well your systems are integrated.

Customer Overview Metrics

The Customer Overview section shows all-time metrics pulled from your connected data:

  • Total Customers -- Everyone in your unified customer database (sourced from Shopify and Klaviyo)
  • Buyers -- Customers who have made at least one purchase
  • Non-Buyers -- People in your database who have not purchased (for example, email subscribers who haven't converted)
  • Conversion Rate -- The percentage of total customers who have made a purchase

Each metric card displays a small source icon indicating which integrations power the data.

Customer Behavior Metrics

Below the overview, you will find behavior metrics:

  • Average Order Value (AOV) -- The average amount spent per order across all buyers
  • Average Orders per Buyer -- How many orders each buyer places on average

These metrics help you understand purchasing patterns across your entire customer base.

How People Differs from Customers

The People page and the Customers page serve different purposes:

  • People is a sources overview. It answers "How many people do I have, and where do they come from?" It shows all-time totals and data source overlap.
  • Customers is an individual metrics page. It lets you filter by date range, browse individual customer records, and drill into per-customer analytics like RFM scores and order history.

Use People to understand your data landscape. Use Customers to analyze specific cohorts and individual behavior.

Browsing Individual Customers

The People page includes a searchable customers table at the bottom. You can:

  • Search by name or email
  • Sort by total spent, order count, or last order date
  • Click any row to open the customer detail page with full order history, RFM scores, marketing engagement, and product preferences

Source Icons

Throughout the People dashboard, you will see small icons next to metrics. These indicate which data sources contribute to each number:

  • A Shopify bag icon means the metric comes from Shopify order data
  • A Klaviyo icon means the metric includes Klaviyo subscriber data
  • Multiple icons together mean the metric combines data from several sources

If a metric shows only one source icon, connecting additional data sources may give you a more complete picture. For example, connecting Klaviyo alongside Shopify reveals non-buyers who are email subscribers but have not yet purchased.
