Orders & Revenue
Track order performance, revenue breakdowns, returns, and geographic distribution from your Shopify store
Orders & Revenue
The Orders dashboard gives you a complete picture of your sales performance. Every metric is sourced from your Shopify data stored in ClickHouse and validated against the Shopify Analytics dashboard for accuracy.
Shopify Required. This page requires an active, installed Shopify integration. If Shopify is not connected, you will see a prompt to set up the integration.
Accessing the Dashboard
- Open your workspace
- Click Orders in the sidebar
- Use the date range picker to adjust the time period (default: last 90 days)
Your date range selection is saved automatically and restored on your next visit. Each analytics dashboard maintains its own date range independently.
Sales Metrics
The top section displays ten key metrics in a grid:
- Gross Sales -- Total revenue before any deductions
- Discounts -- Total discount amount applied to orders
- Returns -- Net product returns (refund value)
- Net Sales -- Gross sales minus discounts and returns
- Taxes -- Total tax collected
- Shipping -- Total shipping charges collected
- Total Sales -- The bottom-line number: net sales plus taxes and shipping
- Orders Fulfilled -- Number of orders that have been fulfilled
- Returning Customer Rate -- Percentage of orders from returning customers
- Orders Count -- Total number of orders placed
Each metric card shows a data source badge and a tooltip explaining the formula used. This transparency lets you understand exactly how each number is calculated.
Shopify Comparison Tooltips
Hover over any metric's comparison icon to see a side-by-side view of the AccessFuel value versus the live Shopify Analytics value. This is especially useful for verifying that returns, discounts, and taxes match what you see in Shopify.
Returns accuracy. AccessFuel fetches returns data directly from Shopify to ensure an exact match. The returns metric includes quantity returned, net returns, discounts returned, taxes returned, and shipping returned.
Daily Sales and Orders Chart
Below the metrics grid, a time-series chart plots daily sales and order counts over the selected period. Use this to spot trends, identify peak sales days, and correlate revenue with marketing campaigns.
Returns Breakdown
When returns data is available, a detailed card shows:
- Quantity Returned -- Total items returned
- Net Returns -- Refund amount for products
- Discounts Returned -- Discount value associated with returned items
- Taxes Returned -- Tax refunded on returns
- Shipping Returned -- Shipping charges refunded
This breakdown is sourced directly from Shopify for exact accuracy.
Orders Breakdown
A separate card shows the distribution of orders by payment and fulfillment status. You can see how many orders are paid and fulfilled, paid but unfulfilled, partially fulfilled, and so on.
Revenue by Geography
Two tables at the bottom of the page show your top-performing locations:
Top Countries by Revenue
A ranked table of the top 10 countries by total sales. Each row shows the country name and total revenue. When Shopify comparison data is available, a second column shows the Shopify value for verification.
Top Cities by Revenue
The same breakdown at the city level. This helps you identify your strongest local markets and plan geo-targeted campaigns.
Data Freshness
The Data Freshness Indicator appears below the date range and shows when your Shopify data was last synced. If numbers look unexpected, check this indicator first -- your data may not have synced recently.
No data in the selected range? If you see an empty state, try expanding the date range. Your orders may fall outside the current selection. If no orders appear at all, check your integration status on the Integrations page.
